Day 18: Client Issues & International Sales

Today I was mainly focused on getting the client work issues resolved. I dedicated the entire day to just work on that, and got nowhere. I am going in circles with no end in sight. On the plus side, I got a sale from one of my ecommerce sites. It’s the second time I sold something outside the United States. This one is going to the UK.

Since today is Martin Luther King Day, the mail isn’t coming, so I haven’t actually packed up all the eBay orders. I am working on that in between support desk calls trying to get all the access required to do the work I was hired to do. The annoying part is they knew I was joining the team, so they had time to get this sorted out.

eBay sales are slowing going back down, but at least I still have some revenue coming in. I have been ignoring the WordPress plugin while I have been focused on client work. There will likely come a point where continuing trying to get this set up will be a waste of time, and I will need to shift focus back to the plugin.

The international order also helps with the revenue and avoids the eBay fees, however, it’s more work to actually ship it out. I can generate an international label online and it comes with the customs forms required, so it’s not too hard. Luckily, I still have some clear customs envelopes form the post office to slap the label into. The only real inconvenience of it is I can’t drop off the package at the post office at night with the rest of the eBay orders. Since it’s leaving the country, I have to hand it to someone at the post office.

That means I will actually going to the post office during the day while they are open, and then again at night with the eBay orders.
