I still spent a great deal of time sleeping. That was followed by things I should have been doing during the week, like cleaning my apartment and laundry. I don’t go to the post office after Saturday morning since the drop box has a high likelihood of being jammed.
That meant that I had over 30 items to box up and get ready to mail out from the weekend orders. Other than that, I mainly just watched TV, including the Pro Bowl. I did try to do client work to get a head start on the week.
Backups of the servers are taken on Sundays, and I thought they were just the development servers which I didn’t need, but my access to the code and the task list were both limited. I don’t actually know if this has anything to do with the backups being taken, or just perfect timing.
It does keep me from being able to get to the list of work I should be doing or updating my code. The real issue is the only task I remember is to fix an issue on a page that looks drastically different that what was designed.
I am thinking I should ask about the page before spending time on it. If the right way is to fix the page as it is, then the technical designs I have are pointless. If it’s the other way and they should match the tech designs, then there is a lot more work than what the task appears to be.
Before doing that, I want to confirm what it is I am supposed to be doing. Other than that, I can’t remember what my tasks even are.
I did finish a book about investing, and am part way through another book. I am thinking I will take a break from the code and go back to reading. I could work on the WordPress plugin, but with the work I had to do last weekend, I am thinking a break from coding in general might be best. Plus, I will have to wake up early tomorrow to hit up the post office, so going to sleep on time always seems like a good idea.
