Day 10: Found a Product

So after relying solely on eBay, I finally found a white label product that seems worth pursing. It is something that is valuable to have, looks nice, and more importantly, has room for improvement.

It’s a WordPress plugin that I would use. However, it doesn’t actually work with my setup. That works out well, though, since I can fix it to make it work, and then be able offer a plugin with more support than just the white label product as-is. That’s exactly what I had planned.

I don’t know much about how the plugin currently works, or even what it would take to make it do what I want, but so far, it seems promising. The goal would be to set up a new site that sells the plugin, run traffic do it, and then once the product is fully validated, sell the site off.

The big reason to do this is not get get money up front, but because the people who see the site for sale are qualified leads for custom work. They are interested in websites and have money to spend. The target is 3 new clients for every site listed for sale. I just made that number up. I really have no idea if that’s even doable, but 3 sounded like a good number to try for.
