Day 102: First Day Went Horrible

Starting off, I don’t even know what time I should show up for my first day. I ended up falling asleep last night after giving up on the unpacking, and am running a little late…I think.

I can’t figure out how the shower works in my apartment, so that slows me down. I also don’t know what I should bring with me, if anything.

The only thing I do know is that once I show up, I call a guy. I don’t know what I am going or where I park, however. I figure I should just get there whenever I can and call.

I get to the lobby at 9:30am, call to tell him I am here, and he’s in a meeting. He said he would be out to get me in half an hour, but it was a full hour before that happened.

So I already wasted an hour sitting in the lobby, and now I am just being introduced to someone, and then told to follow them. They pawn me off on someone else, and it keeps going until I am sitting in a room with a bunch of other people.

Now, I don’t have a computer. So I am sitting there playing on my phone, until the battery dies. I figure this is way too boring to just here and do nothing, so I would go home for lunch. That took some explaining since there was a cafeteria in the building.

Really, though, I just wanted my phone charger. I also realize I will have the same lobby problem when I come back. I get the numbers of a couple other people, and then go home. I grab my phone charger, let the phone charge a little, and then head back.

Then, I just there there doing nothing again for a few more hours before I finally leave.
