I have been doing nothing. Today, I thought about selling some websites. I have been talking about it for a while, and even tried selling some before, but I got a new idea on how to do this cheaper and easier, and potentially way more profitable.

Flippa hasn’t really worked out well for me. I had Adsense sites that were generating over $1 per day (basic math should tell you that’s $30 a month), and then sold them for $30…one whole month’s worth of ads.

That did lead to a really happy customer who wants more, however, he wants more sites at the same price point, one month’s worth of profit. To really screw things up, I had to pay Flippa, so I didn’t even get the entire $30.

If I just let the site go for 4 weeks, I would have ended up making more. Today, I was looking at other options and found a few good alternatives. I have also found a few services available that seem to be doing well.

These services are for things that are basically required for starting new sites. Since I have several sites I want to sell off, these types of services are things I also do. I am thinking I can offer sites for sale along with similar services for people who have sites, but need some help getting everything up and running.

The services that I found already available weren’t even that great, but still go hundreds of orders. I am thinking I can structure this to have several entries, cheap services to get things going, middle services for people who know what they want, and then the entire website for people who want to do nothing.

The different services would be at different price points with the plan on getting more people on to the cheaper ones first to build trust and then work up to just buying the sites from me direct. There are some details I still need to work out, but this seems like an easy way to start generating more money to replace the eBay sales.

I still haven’t given up on the WordPress plugin, though. I need that to launch soon, too, but some of the services I could go live with right now since not much is needed. The plugin still has some work that needs to be done in order for it to be ready to go live.
