Day 30: More Sleep

I was really hoping to get caught up on client work, but that didn’t really happen. Yesterday was invoicing day, but along with that, I have to submit a work log broken day by hour per day. That stupid log took me 3 hours to put together.

After doing that, I really didn’t feel like doing anything more. I ended up falling asleep most of the day. I think the caffeine wore off and the lack of sleep finally caught up to me.

However, eBay sales took off. If you ever sold multi-quantity items on eBay, you will notice that when items start to sell, your listing moves up in the search results for eBay’s Best Match search. When you having a listing that is doing horrible, getting a sale or two could drastically turn things around as you begin to move to the number 1 spot.

Previously, I wasn’t selling much, so I revised some listings. I got a couple sales over the next few days, but I finally hit a high enough spot to matter. Total revenue wasn’t too great compared to the last couple of days, but the items sold were the slow sellers.

Most of these only generate between 1 to 2 dollars profit. I just happened to sell a lot of them. Total number of items sold today is more than double the items sold the last couple days. The best part was, I was sleeping when the sales were coming in.

This is really how I want to be set up. Client work is profitable, but takes my time to do it. eBay sales were running on auto pilot and didn’t require me to be doing something in order for the money to be coming in. I really need to get more things like this going.
