My laptop was finally delivered. As far as the client work, not much happened. The whole plan for today was to get the laptop and set it up. Other than installing Microsoft Office, I have no other tasks for today. More than likely, I will just play around with the laptop and call it a day.
I got a fancy Lenovo laptop. It’s targeted towards gamers, and I don’t really like it. It’s hard to click, and the keyboard is back lit, so it glows red. All the features that make it look cool, I am disabling.
I also don’t really like the keyboard or mouse in general. Without an external mouse and keyboard, I don’t know if I could use the thing. It’s a pretty powerful laptop and can handle running virtual machines running hefty servers, but I would have preferred a more basic laptop that is beefed up.
I typically set everything up so that I connect through my main desktop into each client laptop/work station, so this isn’t really a big deal.
