Today was the scheduled day to talk to a potential client. Things went fairly well, but the guy I was talking to was the technical guy. I was only given an overview of what their system did, and not too much detail of what was needed from me.
It seems like they are in that awkward place where they have enough work to justify having someone full time, but not enough business to be able to afford it. I did tell him about the other work I was doing, clearly telling him that he wouldn’t be the only work I was doing, and might have to take a backseat to other client work on occasion.
He seemed okay with that. So even though it’s not the typical work I do, since it’s flexible work, it makes sense to purse it. Plus, when the other client work I am doing finally comes to an end, I can ramp up with this work since they are entertaining the idea of hiring someone full time.
There was nothing else really going on today. The call lasted over an hour and then I had to get back to doing existing client work. I did get an eBay sale, but nothing too great.
