Day 21: Access was Finally Granted

It took a week, but access was finally granted. This will allow me to start doing client work. It a lot more phone calls in the morning to finally get everything I needed, as shortly after, I started getting requests for work to complete.

I did work for them before, last year. This was entirely different. They are already behind schedule and appear to be over budget. So I am coming into a project that is already in terrible shape. Now, all the requests I get are emergencies. Everything is high priority, and the other developers are piling the work onto me.

It’s more fast paced than it previously was, and the people I was working with are mostly gone. I don’t really know anyone. I am not really liking it, but it pays well. Plus, it’s a short term project, less than 6 months. Even if I hate it, it won’t take much time before it ends anyway.

eBay sales continued. I sold a few things that were slow movers. The downfall, though, is the slow movers get their price cut several times to help speed things up. I average about a dollar in project per sale, so a few items sold isn’t that great.

I sold a shirt on eBay. It’s the same shirt I sold previously, but it was a size I already had, so the ordering of more shirts wasn’t helpful in this case. That shirt sale makes up half the profit from eBay.
