Day 117: Very Little Work

I am still working on setting up my laptop, but no real output is expected from me yet at work. I also still show up at 10:00am so there will be someone to let me in. However, I am running out of client work for the newer client.

Every so often, I will get an email asking for a change that will lead to one or two hours of work, but that’s it. I have plenty of time to do the work, if work was available.

I was hoping a site redesign would lead to way more work that it really did. The site will become a one-page site, and the content is the only missing piece. Instead of having me make content updates, I am setting it up for someone else to make them.

That means all text changes and images are being done by someone else, and I get to do nothing. The task I have assigned to me, I sent an email about asking a question on how to proceed since there is an issue that was never addressed.

I have never heard back about that, and I haven’t gotten anything else to work on. This redesign is my shot at getting any billable hours.

It seems like when work comes in, I get buried, and then I am bored. There’s nothing in between where I have enough work to stay busy, but not completely behind schedule with little chance of catching up.

I did manage to get an eBay sale today. After trying to dump some inventory before moving, I increased the eBay prices again since I no longer desperately need to sell. This is the first order I got after the prices when back up.
