And I am back to doing nothing. The second client still hasn’t gotten back to me, and I have no work at my job. Still, I can’t seem to do anything productive with all the time I have available.

I am still working on setting up my laptop, but no real output is expected from me yet at work. I also still show up at 10:00am so there will be someone to let me in. However, I am running out of client work for the newer client.

My work laptop isn’t very nice. The lid rattles and doesn’t stay in place, and the battery doesn’t last more than an hour. The trackpad also isn’t very responsive which makes scrolling hard. All in all, I am not really liking it.

Still didn’t feel great today, but was able to stay awake most of the day. However, I didn’t really do much other than watch TV.

Today, I was not feeling too great. Things were getting worse, and the pain became soreness that never went away. Moving at all hurt. I did get some pain killers, though, and since I was driving to work today, I figured I would take them.

After surgery yesterday, I made it into work today. When I walked in, there was some other guy in the room, and I was introduced to him. He is my reporting manager and he reports to the guy I did the interview with. Both were out of town last week.

Surgery wasn’t very fun. Last night, I watched the Cleveland Cavs game on the hospital TV, and then went to sleep. My surgery was scheduled for 6:30am today. However, people constantly came into my room to take my vital signs making it really hard to sleep.

I woke up really early today, about 4:00am. However, I didn’t wake up to be productive, I woke up because of pain. The pain was so bad, I made my first trip to the emergency room in my life.

Today wasn’t much better than yesterday. I still didn’t receive my laptop, and the meeting didn’t happen. I had my doubts that he would be back in town yesterday, but I though for sure he would be in today. That was not the case.

After taking the Pittsburgh job, I got a call from the guy who hired me asking what the status was. I was a little nervous he didn’t know I took the position or what my start date was. When I told him, he said he would be out of town, but would meet me the following week…that week was today.
