I did some catching up with the original client today. I had this task that was given to be by another guy on the team. I basically took it from him to free he him up to work on another important issue. There was a similar task I also worked on for a guy on a different team. That guy tested all the changes I made, and told me what else was needed. For this task, I heard nothing.

Everything is ready for the meeting in Chicago. I got the plane tickets booked and receipt submitted. Now, I just have to wait for Wednesday. Also, I got a little more client work. A friend found some work that needed and knew someone who could do the work. He just needed someone to be in the middle.

After waiting a month between calls, I heard back after the call yesterday. They want to move forward, and the next step is meeting in person. They are in Chicago. This is the first client who actually wants to meet in person.

I did the new client call from yesterday. I also haven’t heard from the second client about getting new work. At this point, I am pretty confident that there is no more work, and my time with them is over. The good news is, the call went well.

I talked to a potential client starting December last year. After discussing what they wanted, it took about a month to hear back. After talking to them again, I didn’t hear back again. It got to the point where I thought they weren’t interested in working with me. Today, I finally heard back.

I don’t typically watch sports, and if I do, it’s really only the end just to see who wins. Today, however, I watched the entire Cleveland Cavs game. The good news is, they won. The bad news is I really didn’t do anything else.

Today was mainly spent getting caught up with everything. Lately, I was going into work later, and doing client work in the morning. Then after work, I would do work for the first client. However, now the client work for the second client is cut back, so I haven’t been too productive in the morning.

I am back to sleeping. I was really trying to get a better sleep schedule going, but that hasn’t really worked out. I wanted to do something like 11:00pm to 7:00am to avoid the random falling alseep in the evenings.

Today wasn’t too much fun, but I did finally get to see how things work at the new job. Another developer is right out of college and was given a lot of easy defects to fix. They were things like typos and text changes.

I was finally eligible to sign up for the 401k program from the Pittsburgh job. This isn’t really making money online, but at least it is bringing in some money. The Ohio job didn’t offer any kind of employer matching, but this one does.
