I woke up really early today, about 4:00am. However, I didn’t wake up to be productive, I woke up because of pain. The pain was so bad, I made my first trip to the emergency room in my life.

Today wasn’t much better than yesterday. I still didn’t receive my laptop, and the meeting didn’t happen. I had my doubts that he would be back in town yesterday, but I though for sure he would be in today. That was not the case.

After taking the Pittsburgh job, I got a call from the guy who hired me asking what the status was. I was a little nervous he didn’t know I took the position or what my start date was. When I told him, he said he would be out of town, but would meet me the following week…that week was today.

Today was mainly spent on my apartment. It’s the first time since I moved in that I really had time to get stuff organized. I went through some boxes and unpacked items I actually need. Other items I previously unpacked were sorted and put away in places I like better than where I originally had them.

With some stuff sold on eBay, it was time to make my first trip to the post office in Pittsburgh…it didn’t go so well. Google Maps says it’s 7 minutes away, and it only took me an hour and 10 minutes to get there!

Today wasn’t too bad. I still come in at 10:00am, but today I brought my own laptop. I was told that I could bring my personal laptop and use it to do work related things. I have no work and no documents to even read. Plus, I don’t have a computer.

I am giving up on this stupid modem. It looks like it wasn’t even shipped, but instead is still processing. I don’t really want to wait forever to get it, and Amazon has a modem for about the same price.

I still don’t have any reliable internet at home. Going to the office is really boring, but things don’t get much better when I get home. Turns out, my life being exciting is really dependent on being able to get online.

Today went slightly better. First, I was told to come in after 10:00am so there would be someone to get me from the lobby. I also brought my phone charger with me. Other than that, though, it was pretty much the same. I sat in the room with a few other guys and then waited until I could go home.

Starting off, I don’t even know what time I should show up for my first day. I ended up falling asleep last night after giving up on the unpacking, and am running a little late…I think.
